Text messaging is an important method for us to communicate with you.  From billing alerts to service updates, text messaging is an effective way for us to help keep you updated on your service and news regarding People's Energy Cooperative (PEC).

We wanted to let you know of a small change to our text messaging system.  In the past, when you have received a text message from PEC it has come from a short code.  Starting Thursday, June 10, 2021, text messages from PEC will start coming from (844) 965-1335.  We're making this update due to changes made by mobile phone carriers.

This will not affect your service or communication from us in any way.  There is nothing that you need to do on your end.  If you have any questions, please contact us by calling (800) 214-2694.

SmartHub

SmartHub is a Web and mobile app that allows you to interact with us like never before.  View and pay your bill, monitor your use 24/7, report service issues and more.  Billing notifications will ensure you never miss a payment, which you can make through the app or on the Web with just a few clicks.  By managing your account, you can make an immediate payment, set up payment extensions, set up recurring payments and view detailed information about your billing history.

Account Management / Smart Hub

Enrolling in SmartHub's secure account management tool makes it simple and quick to manage your account online. By utilizing SmartHub's easy-to-navigate functionality you can easily:

  • make a one-time payment by credit card (MasterCard, VISA or Discover) or a savings or checking account
  • set-up automatic payments by credit card (MasterCard, VISA or Discover) or a savings or checking account
  • view payment and billing history
  • check your electric usage
  • receive email or text alerts (i.e. when a payment is due or other account activity occurs, so you know before your bill arrives that you’re using more power than usual)
  • report outages
  • compare bills and find out what day of the week you typically use the most electricity.
  • notify Member Services of account issues
